We’ve been hard at work, see industry insights, our accomplishments with our partners to provide organizations a standard in sustainable practices.
As the sustainability business of Land O’Lakes, a farmer-owned cooperative, we at Truterra appreciate that farmers need support to transition to more sustainable farming practices. With a successful bid in the USDA Climate Smart Commodities Partnership project, Truterra, American Farmland Trust, Soil Health Institute, and The Federation of Southern Cooperatives are introducing a range of programs that will deliver agronomic assistance to farmers, facilitate data collection, and help more farmers connect to more resources.
Over the next five years, we anticipate that farmer adoption of these climate-smart practices will reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by approximately 6.9 million metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalents (CO2e) – roughly the equivalent of removing 1.5 million cars for one year.
